Job DescriptionBASIC PURPOSE OF THE JOBThe driver safely transport children and families for placement and appropriate services. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONSMaintains open line of communication with transportation and office staff, including social worker or family support workerVerifies necessary transportation and move forms are completeAssures that children have all necessary belongings and medications at time of transportMust follow and adhere to state driving laws and regulationsTransports children/families safely from one destination to another locationAble to work varied days and hoursReports critical incidents to DFPS verbally within 12 hours, written within 24 hoursImplements Saint Francis policies and follows directives as required. Follows and adheres to all pertinent Saint Francis Standard Operating Procedures (SOP's), rules, personnel policies and procedures; related accreditation and licensure standards; and federal, state and local rules, statutes, regulations, and contractual termsIs knowledgeable of and follows all safety proceduresReports unusual incidents through appropriate Risk Management, clinical and safety channelsEnsures clients' rights are protected. Is knowledgeable of and follows all safety procedures. Implements Saint Francis Ministries policies and follows directives as required. Follows and adheres to all pertinent Saint Francis Ministries Standard Operating Procedures (SOP's), rules, personnel policies and procedures; related accreditation and licensure standards; and federal, state and local rules, statutes, regulations, and all contractual terms.NON-ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONSOther duties as assigned.Will participate in a minimum of 40 hours in-service education per yearRequirementsMINIMUM EDUCATION AND LICENSURE/CERTIFICATIONSHigh School diploma or equivalentFirst Aid/CPRMINIMUM JOB REQUIRMENTSMust be 21 years of ageMust pass a drug screen, MVR, Criminal History and DFPS History Check, Centralized Background Check Unit Texas Health and Human Services Eligibility and any background checks deemed to be necessary. FBI Fingerprint CheckLifting requirements of 30-50 lbs.
