Overview: Heartland Hospice, part of the Gentiva family, is seeking a compassionate and dedicated Full-Time Hospice Registered Nurse (RN) to provide personalized care and support to patients and their families. This position offers the opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of others during challenging times.
Responsibilities:
- Report directly to the Administrator, Executive Director, or Patient Care Manager and maintain primary control and professional management of each patient.
- Act as the primary liaison between physician, patient/family, and the hospice team.
- Provide direct patient care services and supportive care to the patient's family while maintaining a trusting and compassionate relationship.
- Empower patient's caregivers through education on care for their loved one.
- Collaborate with an interdisciplinary group to provide comfort, peace, and dignity to patients.
Requirements:
- RN license in the state of employment (or eligibility to obtain).
- 1+ years of nursing experience in hospice, home health, ICU, geriatric, or oncology strongly preferred.
- Current driver's license and automobile insurance.
- Current CPR certification.
