Full-Time Intake Coordinator
Location: Haymarket Surgery Center
Haymarket Surgery Center, a leading multispecialty surgery center, is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Intake Coordinator to join our team. This position plays a pivotal role in ensuring seamless communication and coordination between patients, healthcare providers, and our internal team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Serve as the primary point of contact for patients scheduling surgical procedures, ensuring accuracy in collecting and documenting necessary patient information.
- Verify patient demographics, insurance eligibility, and pre-authorization requirements.
- Collaborate with surgical teams to confirm scheduling details and communicate any updates or changes.
- Maintain confidentiality of patient information in compliance with HIPAA and other regulatory standards.
- Address patient inquiries and provide guidance on pre-operative instructions and documentation requirements.
- Manage and organize patient files, maintaining a high level of accuracy and timeliness.
- Ensure coordination of all intake-related administrative tasks to support optimal workflow within the surgery center.

Required Skills
- High School Diploma or GED required; additional education or certifications in healthcare administration are a plus.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar role, with demonstrated longevity in past positions.
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills with exceptional attention to detail.
- Proficient in healthcare software systems and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a patient-centered approach.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
