Job Description:

One Vision is seeking to hire a Full Time - Job Coach for our Webster City and Fort Dodge, IA locations - Our Job Coach is Responsible for teaching and providing support to persons served with obtaining and maintaining paid competitive employment in the community. Consistently implement each person's individual service plan to ensure their needs are met. Ensures individuals served are safe and their personal welfare is supported and respected.

Essential Job Functions:

* Coach, teach, and support persons served with obtaining and maintaining paid competitive employment.

* Learn and be knowledgeable of the individual's strengths, abilities, needs, preferences, dislikes, and individual service plans.

* Ensure the health, safety, and welfare of Individuals served.

* Promote healthy relationships between staff and individuals served.

* Maintain appropriate communication with persons served and others.

* Support person served with participation in activities of choice within their community.

Required Skills/Abilities:

* Must be able to appropriately bend, stoop, kneel, reach with hands and arms, walk, stand, and balance self to support persons served in completion of their activities of daily living.

* Must be able to implement Mandt procedures per One Vision policy to appropriately respond to interfering behaviors.

* Must be able to lift and transfer per One Vision policy to support persons served in completion of their activities of daily living.

* Must be able to read and write legibly to complete the required paperwork and support persons served in completion of their activities of daily living.

* Must be able to comprehend and implement written and verbal instructions in order complete the required paperwork and support persons served in completion of their activities of daily living.

* Must possess functional vision abilities to include close vision and distance vision in order to complete required paperwork and support persons served in completion of their activities of daily living.

* Must be willing to learn to use a computer or other electronic device in order to complete electronic documentation.

Education and Experience Requirements:

* Must be 18 years of age.

* GED or High School Education preferred.

* Past verifiable experience in supporting individuals with disabilities preferred.

* Past experience in training of vocational/employment skills and retention preferred.

* Supported Employment Certificate required. If does not have a Supported Employment certificate, must become certified in one year.
