The Beaumont Assisted Living is looking for compassionate, fun, energetic individuals to join our Memory Care team!We are hiring for an Activities Director/Caregiver in our brand new memory care! This is a full time position and expected days/hours will be M-F 9-5pm but we can be flexible with the hours. (Must be willing to work weekends if needed and some weekends are required.) This position will be in charge of planning and coordinating activities for our mc residents, doing monthly calendars, making sure you have all supplies needed for daily activities, taking pictures, and making sure to try and get all residents to participate. This position also will be the second caregiver in memory care and is expected to help with the adls of our residents. Responsibilities:
- Our Caregivers are responsible for caring for our elderly residents, assisting them in all cares of daily living (ADLs), documenting and notifying RCC and nurse of any changes or concerns in our residents' condition, as well as all duties given them as assigned by the Administrator or Resident Care Coordinator.
- Planning and executing life enrichment activities for our residents
- Encouraging residents to participate in group activities
- Spending time with residents one on one to optimize their full potential for independent living
- Conducting or overseeing the scheduled activities and ensuring they have all supplies needed for each activity
- Tracking attendance of residents at activities
Requirements:
- Basic computer skills
- Self-Starter and able to work independently
- Must be reliable (Residents and your coworkers depend on you to be there and on time.)
- Ability to work as part of a team and to handle multiple tasks safely and effectively
- High tolerance for working under pressure and handling critical situations with a cool head
- Good communication skills, such as being able to communicate effectively with residents, staff, family members, and professionals. Including the ability to communicate sensitive information with empathy ( bedside manner )
- Possess a love for the elderly
- Have a positive and compassionate attitudeA background check is required for this position upon hire as well as food handlers permit, CPR/First Aid certification, and a TB test.
