Below, you'll find other important information about this position.The primary focus of the AEMT is to provide basic and advanced limited emergency medical care for critical and emergent patients who access the emergency medical system and for those patients who require non-emergency or interfacility medical transport. This individual possesses the basic knowledge and skills necessary to provide patient care and transportation. AEMTs function as part of a comprehensive EMS response, under medical oversight. AEMTs perform interventions with the equipment typically found on an ambulance.
