Full-Time Nurse Practitioner, Emergency Dept., Employed Kansas The ED Nurse Practitioners assist the Emergency Medicine physicians in evaluating and treating patients with diagnoses that include, but are not limited to, orthopedics, general surgery, and pediatrics. Must be able to demonstrate the knowledge and skill necessary to provide care based on physical, psychological, developmental, social, educational, safety, and related criteria, appropriate to the age of the patients served in their service area. Preferred candidates will have the ability to handle fast pace, high volume of patients; minimum of two years' experience in emergency medicine is preferred. The Emergency Department features a 24-hour physician/physician extender staff. The Emergency Department offers private exam and treatment rooms, including space for orthopedics, children, chest pain, womens health, and ENT. The Emergency Department is a Level IV Trauma Center designated by the Kansas Department of Health and Environment (KDHE). Level IV trauma centers are rural hospitals whose primary role is to stabilize seriously injured patients and, if necessary, transfer them to a higher-level trauma center.
