Job Summary

The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) plays a vital role in providing exceptional care to patients by attending to their developmental needs in line with established nursing standards and hospital policies.

• Conduct comprehensive assessments and data collection for all patients under the supervision of an RN and/or provider.
• Evaluate and reassess pain levels while educating patients and families on pain management techniques.
• Monitor for any adverse changes in patient conditions and promptly notify the appropriate RN and/or provider.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of medications, ensuring their correct administration.
• Engage professionally with patients and families, actively involving them in the education process.
• Correctly clean and operate medical equipment.
• Perform additional duties as needed to support patient care.

Licensure/Certification Requirements:

• Current New York State Practical Nursing Registration.
• CPR certification.
