Job Title: Full-Time RN SupervisorShift: Full-Time, 7AM/3PMPay Rate: $56.00 per hour

Job Description:We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Full-Time RN Supervisor to join our team. The RN Supervisor will take on the primary responsibility for managing the care of residents and the activities of nursing staff during their assigned shifts. This position requires a blend of clinical expertise and leadership to ensure that the highest standards of patient care are upheld. The RN Supervisor will collaborate with the Unit Manager and nursing team to ensure that care is delivered according to institutional policies, departmental standards, and regulatory guidelines.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Clinical Management:

    • Oversee and implement resident care plans to meet specialized needs.
    • Direct, supervise, instruct, and evaluate nursing personnel.
    • Participate in orientation, in-service programs, and continuing education opportunities.
    • Audit records and care plans to ensure compliance with State Health Department regulations.
    • Collaborate with Unit Managers to coordinate services to residents and their families.
    • Act as a liaison between nursing staff and management.
  • Administrative Duties:

    • Prepare and submit necessary reports, including occurrence reports and resident evaluations.
    • Investigate and report suspected or actual resident abuse or mistreatment.
    • Assist with maintaining unit records and ensure they meet regulatory requirements.
    • Handle staff counseling for issues such as poor attendance or work performance.
  • Emergency Management:

    • Make decisions regarding medical emergencies and contact appropriate personnel as needed.
    • Ensure adherence to institutional policies regarding professional nursing practice and ethics.
  • Admissions:

    • Complete assessments and obtain physician orders for new admissions.

Qualifications:

  • Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing.
  • Current license to practice as an RN in the State of New York.
  • Current CPR certification.
  • Nursing Home experience preferred.
  • Spanish-speaking required.
