Essential Functions
Performs cashier duties.Rings up sales, receives payment, gives change, provides petty cash services.Performs miscellaneous maintenance duties to maintain a clean store and orderly merchandise appearance.Performs inventory management activities.Moves merchandise and stock, unloads deliveries, moves stock to and from the storeroom; inspects and verifies incoming stock.Stocks merchandise on shelves, in coolers and on displays. Performs other Liquor Store duties.Makes bank deposits.Prepares daily cash reports.Supervises Part-time Liquor Store Clerk employees in absence of Liquor Store Manager.Performs other essential job duties.Regular and timely work attendance.Follows all safety procedures.Participates in safety training. - Knowledge of state and local liquor laws.
- Skill in operating a cash register and 10-key calculator.
- Ability to lift 50 pounds.
- Ability to quickly and accurately make change.
- Ability to communicate with the public.
- Ability to attend seminars and classes as directed.
- Ability to work a variety of hours including evenings, weekends and holidays.
- Ability to learn and operate computer based inventory management system.
Minimum Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- One-year retail cashier experience.
- Must be at least 21 years old.
Preferred Qualifications
- Municipal Liquor Store experience.
