We are valued for our technical knowledge, business process expertise and industry best-practice solutions.Location Washington, DC Full-Time/Part-Time Full-Time Description Herdt is seeking candidates at the journeyman or senior-level to provide expert level business process guidance on Navy ERP's SAP requirements and design. This position requires experience in designing/configuring business processes in SAP FI/FM/CO to automate the management and external reporting of many components of the SAP system. This is a Hybrid-Remote role requiring 3 days per week (M,W,Th) on-site in the Arlington, VA area. No non-local travel requirements.Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
  • Personnel proposed to provide these services shall have demonstrated sound functional experience with SAP Funds Management (FM), Finance (FI), Controlling (CO), and Asset Management (AM) modules.
  • Provide configuration, data migration, interface, and functional support as necessary;
  • Develop and maintain systems documentation including business process procedures, functional design specifications, process flows, and test cases;
  • Support development of training work products and respond to trainer questions;
  • Define user authorization requirements;
  • Provide help desk support, assisting and resolving end user support problems, resolving FI/FM defects ('break/fix'), analyzing proposed improvements or changes to the Navy ERP FI/FM solution and system
  • Support data cleansing and accounting review for data migration.
Basic Qualifications:
  • Ten (10) or more years of SAP experience.
  • Possess at least seven (7) years of demonstrated sound functional experience with Finance (FI), Controlling (CO), and FM modules. Individuals shall have experience and training demonstrating a functional understanding of all financial and General Ledger postings and processes in FI/CO/FM and master data.
  • Possess at least 7 years of demonstrated experience analyzing, documenting and testing functional requirements. Personnel should have experience conducting Period End Closing (PEC) and Year End Closing (YEC) in SAP.
Nice to have skills:
  • Possess at least 7 years of understanding of Federal and DoD ledgers and accounting preferred. Demonstrated experience developing training materials, user guides and related material is also preferred.
  • Possess at least 5 years of demonstrated experience with Navy ERP strongly preferred.
  • Possess at least 5 years of demonstrated experience in Federal/DoD funds management preferred.
  • Possess at least 5 years of demonstrated experience with interfaces to DoD'sAccounting Pre-Validation Module (APVM), Pay Pre-Validation Module (PPVM), Daily Expenditure File (DDEF), Defense Cash Accounting System (DCAS), DCAS Monthly Expenditure File (DMEF), and Defense Travel System (DTS) preferred.
  • Possess at least 3 years of demonstrated experience with Treasury direct payment processing preferred.
Requirements and Qualifications:
  • Must be a US citizen
  • Candidates must possess, or be eligible to receive, US DoD Secret-level Security Clearance
  • Ideal candidates should possess Bachelor's Degree from accredited college or university in Accounting, Finance, or a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) preferred.
Security Clearance:
  • Candidates must possess, or be eligible to receive, U.S. DoD Secret-level Security Clearance
Travel:
  • This is a hybrid position with 3 days per week on-site (M, W, Th); no non-local travel requirements.
