Team Overview The Fund Controller's group provides oversight to the administrator of the funds, including the calculation of the funds' NAVs and financial reporting for the Funds. The team currently consists of a small group of experienced professionals with strong backgrounds in the investment management industry. Most members of the Controller's group have a combination of public accounting background as well as investment fund experience. Position Overview SFM is seeking a high caliber individual who is willing to learn and grow in a multi-disciplinary role. The ideal candidate will have a strong interest in process improvement, technology implementation, automation, and data analytics, in addition to core fund accounting. Responsibilities for this position include reviewing NAV schedules, preparing regulatory and board reports, and overseeing private investment services performed by the firm's third-party administrator: private equity trade activity, unfunded commitment tracking, and instruction of wire payments. The successful candidate should proactively analyze existing processes to identify areas for improvement and assist with technology implementations to drive efficiency and automation. Requirements
  • 1 to 5 years of experience in the financial industry
  • Experience in accounting, operations, information systems, or data analytics for investment funds are strongly desired
  • Strong communication and organization skills
  • Proactively identify and analyze existing processes to identify areas for improvement
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
What We Offer:
  • We anticipate the base salary of this role to be between $90,000 - $115,000. In addition to a base salary, the successful candidate will also be eligible to receive a discretionary year-end bonus.
