The Role: AMG is seeking a Senior Associate, Product Services, based out of Stamford, Connecticut, who will assist with accounting and fund oversight, custody, treasury, and financial reporting activities; including NAV review, expense budgeting, reviewing regulatory and shareholder reporting, oversight of various product offerings (i.e. alternative investments funds and open end mutual funds), and monitor various fund programs. Duties also include activities related to creating and maintaining various reports to the Board of Trustees, subadvisors, and management.

Core Responsibilities:

  • Review monthly accounting report package and NAVs for our closed end private equity funds and review daily NAVs for our open end mutual funds.
  • Review regulatory filings including monthly, quarterly, semi-annual and annual shareholder reports and Form N-1A and Form N-2 (prospectus and SAI updates). Assist in the coordination of the Funds' annual audits.
  • Monitor the Funds' custodian including coordination of custody accounts openings.
  • Review Fund expense budgets and assist with the expense payment process.
  • Assist with security lending program and Interfund Lending facility.
  • Assist in the resolution of shareholder servicing matters and other transfer agency related inquiries.
  • Prepare quarterly Board materials including materials for the annual 15c meeting.
  • Liaise with the Corporate Accounting and Business Finance teams to ensure the accuracy of the payments and accruals of management and subadvisory fees.
  • Monitor incoming securities litigation receivables and instruct appropriate custody and accounting entries.
  • Support the Product Services team to facilitate new fund launches, mergers, liquidations, proxies, share class changes, and other initiatives.

Qualifications and Attributes:

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Highly motivated individual, self-starter who is able to excel in a fast-paced environment both independently as well as within a team environment.
  • Pro-active team player with strong work ethic, collaborative attitude, professional demeanor, and confidence to ask questions.
  • Strong written and oral communication, preferred.
  • Ability to exercise discretion and maintain confidentiality.
  • Supports AMG values and treats others with respect and consideration.
  • Detail oriented, organized, ability to plan/prioritize and take initiative.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (specifically Excel), required, and able to learn and use other programs and systems.
  • Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance, required.
  • 1-2 years' experience, preferred.
