Job Title: Furnace Operator Job Summary: Control glass heating process, bending process, cooling process, and make sure the productions run effciently. Job Functions: According to the processing requirement, efficiently control the heating process of the furnace;
- Efficiently monitor the heating process;
- According to the processing shaping requirement, ensure the shape of the glass can meet customer's standards;
- Efficiently monitor the shaping process;
- Satisfy the processing requirement to cool down efficiently;
- Responsible monitoring product quality, prevent defect from happening;
- Responsible for the maintenance of production pace, reduce waste during the process;
- Good at using production statistical related forms and data entry;
- Other duties as assigned

Qualifications
- Languages spoken commonly in the workplace are English and Mandarin. - Ability to read, understand and comprehend documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
- Ability to speak effectively and interact with other team members, engineers, leadership and customers.
- 1 to 3 years manufacturing experience and /or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience preferred.
- High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED)
- The employee is regularly required o stand for long periods. Duties include turning at the waist, reaching, bending, squatting and lifting up to 50 pounds. Ability to pass static strength requirements (grip)
- Visual acuity including, but not limited to:
- a. NEAR ACUITY - Clarity of vision at 20 inches or less. Use this factor when special and minute accuracy is demanded.
- b. FAR ACUITY - Clarity of vision at 20 feet or more. Use this factor when visual efficiency in terms of far acuity is required in day and night/dark conditions.
- c. DEPTH PERCEPTION - Three-dimensional vision. Ability to judge distances and spatial relationships so as to see objects where and as they actually are.
- d. COLOR VISION - Ability to identify and distinguish colors.
- e. FIELD OF VISION - Observing an area that can be seen up and down or to right or left while eyes are fixed on a given point.
- The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate. Safety requirements for this position
- are safety glasses, hearing protection and steel-toed work boots.
- MATHEMATICAL SKILLS -
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
- REASONING ABILITY - Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of variables.
- COMPUTER SKILLS - Knowledge of and familiarity manufacturing software.
- The manufacturing principles and technological processes, production process controls and quality management;
- Principle of main equipment;Master the management technique on production safety and environmental controls;
- Systematic knowledge on 5S, TPM, etc.;
- Basic computer operation knowledge.
- Master quality, processing, and equipment operating instructions;
- Inspect glass according to product standards;
- Fill out tracking records and related forms;
- Handle glass for loading and recognition of different types of logos and date formats;
- Familiar with product safety and lawful qualification; Maintain the equipment/tooling for this job position
- Inspection technology of product, inspection methods and standards, SPC statistical technology; Complete production forms and enter data in Plex;
- Recognition on different product defects, the judgement and standard solution procedure on finished good, suspected good, rework and scrap.Standard procedure on abnormalty;
- Operational skills on furnace equipment, set up process parameters, control shaping process;Simple maintainance on furnace equipment.
- 5S standards, make sure the equipment and associates have a safe production environment;
- Complete production inspection forms, ensure accuracy of data input and understand production process through records.
- Systematic training on lamination about processing, quality and equipment operations;
- Systematic 5S/TPM management training;
- Production safety training;
