Job Title: Vacuum Atomization Furnace OperatorJob DescriptionWe are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented individual to assist in the set-up, operation, and maintenance of a vacuum atomization furnace. This role involves performing a variety of cleaning, monitoring, and securing tasks to ensure the efficient operation of the furnace and related equipment.ResponsibilitiesPerform various cleaning, monitoring, and securing operations to assist in the set-up of a vacuum atomization furnace.Work from verbal and written instructions to perform repetitive tasks before, after, and during the atomization process.Assist in preparing raw material charges, operating the furnace control board, making minor repairs on the furnace, atomization chamber, and other auxiliary equipment.Clean the atomization chamber and carry out housekeeping duties.Assist in the removal and replacement of furnace lid and coils, cleaning the interior of the furnace chamber and 'O' ring seal.Clean raw material charges and transport them to the charge area.Assist in attaching and detaching gas, electric, and water lines to the furnace lid and tank as directed.Use an electric hoist to remove and replace the furnace lid from the furnace chamber.Clean inside of crucibles, patch cracks, and perform other repair tasks on crucibles prior to the next run.Adhere to CORE guidelines and perform CORE duties as required.Follow all EH&S guidelines, including wearing required personal protective equipment, such as a respirator and mask.Carry out additional tasks within the scope and skill level of this position to support department objectives and develop personal skills.Work overtime when needed.Essential SkillsGeneral laborProductionMaintenanceMachine operationGeneral productionRepairAdditional Skills & QualificationsHigh School Diploma or EquivalentU.S. Person or eligible to obtain necessary export authorizations requiredAbility to work from heights up to 60 feetAbility to wear a respiratorPhysically capable of bending, lifting, squatting, twisting, overhead reaching, standing on feet for up to 8 hours, climbing stairs, and lifting up to 25 lbs. independentlyWhy Work Here?Join a team where your skills and dedication are highly valued.
