Additional weekly working hours could possibly expand in future weeks or months.Service Desk Clerks at the Fitness Center on Toledo-area campus work to maintain a safe and helpful environment for all students, guests, staff, and faculty.Clerks greet all guests as they enter the SHAC, swipe I.D. cards, and provide appropriate customer service based on the situation.Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:* Knowledge of SHAC rules and regulations.* Good customer service and conflict resolution skills.* Ability to lift free weights and move exercise equipment.* Ability to follow both written and verbal orders with attention to detail.Essential Functions:* Sell tickets and collect money from fans for Express Athletic games as needed.* Swipe I.D. cards as students enter the SHAC Fitness Center.* Transfer calls to the appropriate Owens personnel as needed.* Clean equipment as needed.* Ensure that equipment is clean and working properly.* Provide incident reports when needed.* Wash and fold laundry.* Verify student, faculty, and staff ID cards.* Operate point of sales software with cash handling responsibilities.Other Characteristics:* Dependable.Education/Experience:* High School Diploma or equivalent (G.E.D.)* Good customer service skills.Union Position:Job Classification:Student WorkerDuty Days:Work Schedule:Grant Funded Position:FLSA Status:United States of America (Non-Exempt)Pay Basis:HourlyHiring Range:$10.45-$12.50Retirement System:SERS - SERS (Retirement System Classification)
