The Montana Department of Public Health and Human Services (DPHHS) has a career opportunity within the Health Care Facilities Division/ Montana State Hospital.
The Administrative Officer is directly accountable to the Chief Executive Officer of the Montana State Hospital to provide leadership and overall management of Galen, a Forensic Mental Health Facility (FMHF). Galen is a secured nonhospital-based forensic mental health facility for adults who are admitted under a court order for mental health evaluation of fitness to proceed in court proceedings.

Qualifications for this Career Opportunity
* Ability to provide strategic direction and leadership to the staff of Galen and the Group Homes as well as directly and indirectly supervise more than 5 staff members as the leader of the Galen facility.
* Ability to implement cost-control measures and strategies to enhance financial sustainability without compromising quality of care being provided.
* In-depth knowledge of healthcare laws and regulations, compliance standards, and quality improvement methodologies.
* Meet minimum qualifications:
* Master's Degree in Healthcare Administration Public Health, Business Administration, Forensic Science, Psychology or a related field.
* Minimum of 5 years of progressive leadership experience in healthcare administration, preferably within forensic healthcare facilities.
* Experience working within the judicial system and an understanding of courtroom proceedings.
* Strong financial acumen and experience in budget management and resource allocation.
