The Location:

The Organization:

Brushy Creek Municipal Utility District is home to 18,000+ residents. Formed initially as Williamson County Municipal Utility District No. 2 in 1977, BCMUD provides water and wastewater services, recreational activities, beautiful gardens, parks, and miles of trails through the Brushy Creek community. BCMUD operates four swimming pools, four tennis courts, and a disc golf course throughout the community.

At the heart of our District is the Brushy Creek Community Center. Our Community Center features two gyms, two racketball courts, weight room, rock wall, and recreational programming, including various fun activities, educational and fitness classes.

Brushy Creek employs approximately 190 seasonal, part-time, and full-time team members.

Gardener:

The Gardener is responsible for a variety of skilled or semi-skilled tasks in the maintenance and operation of the Community Center garden and ground at the Community Center facility, including landscaping, tree care, irrigation, and pond care.

Job Duties:

  • Maintains flower beds, open spaces, and lawns; removes weeds from plant beds and grounds; applies mulch, fertilizers, and aerates landscape beds.
  • Manages the seeding schedule, seasonal color changes, hanging baskets, and replacement of perennial plants.
  • Monitors, repairs, adjusts and maintains the irrigation system at the Community Center facility.
  • Trims, fertilizes, plants, and stakes trees; removes trimmings and cleans up after tree care activities.
  • Cleans ponds, monitors water levels, fertilizes, and cares for aquatic plants; monitors, feeds, and cares for fish and other pond wildlife; maintains and monitors the filtration system and pumps.

Minimum Requirement:

  • Must be at least 18 years of age.
  • A valid Texas driver's license.

Employment Status: Part-time, 30-39 hours a week.
