We are looking for Garment Cutters! Have you ever dreamed of being a Garment Cutter at Walt Disney World? Garment Cutters support the Costuming Production Workroom for Disney Live Entertainment! You will help create costumes using fabrics and patterns for our shows, parades, and Character Meet and Greets. This role uses computer-controlled machines to cut materials while contributing to costume documentation.You will report to the Costuming Manager.The pay rate for this role in Florida is $17.25 per hour.Select benefits may be provided as part of the compensation package, such as medical, financial, and/or other benefits. Basic Qualifications : - Operate basic computer systems
- Experience with Excel and Word
- Proficient verbal and written communication for documentation and safety purposes
- Knowledge of cutting techniques, tools, and terminology
- Physical role requiring repetitive movement such as heavy lifting, pushing, pulling, bending, twisting, grasping, clutching, prolonged standing, and kneeling
- Minimal climbing of step stools/small ladders
- Be able to work with or around costumes made of natural or synthetic materials such as fur, foam, latex, or mylar
- Comfortable with working at varying heights
- Push or pull up to 46 lbs.
- Lift up to 50 lbs.
- Team lift with 2 Cast Members maximum of 85 lbs.
- Full-Time roles require full availability for any shift, seven (7) days per week, including nights, weekends, and holidays
