The Gas Skilled Laborer/ Groundman is responsible for supporting the crew by assisting with the installation and repair of gas lines. This position supports the Line team and works with personnel within the department. Responsibilities Gather materials for the job that day and make sure the crew has everything required. Distribute material at job site. Hand locate existing utilities. Hand grade landscape areas. Safely operate equipment, such as rubber-tired backhoe, skid steer loader, directional drill, trencher, asphalt paving machine, etc. Utilize equipment after the Operator digs the ditch line for gas mains. Lift heavy natural gas pipelines for installation, when needed. Perform other duties as required and/or assigned. Qualifications High school diploma, or equivalent. 1 year of gas utility construction experience. Preferred Qualifications 2 or more years of gas utility construction experience....Laborer, Manufacturing
