: Job Details :

Have to have a high school diploma or GED and a minimum of 3 years' experience as Maintenance Tech or related experience and some formal training in such areas as; electrical, electronics, pneumatics, or hydraulics are beneficial. While not required, an associate's degree or vocational technical degree in industrial maintenance is preferred.* Observes mechanical devices in operation and listens to their sounds to locate causes of trouble* Dismantles devices to gain access and remove defective parts* Examines form and texture of parts to detect imperfections* Inspects used parts to determine changes in dimensional requirement* Adjusts functional parts of devices and control instruments* Repairs or replaces defective parts. Installs special functional and structural parts in devices. Lubricates and cleans parts* Starts devices to test their performance* Sets up and operates lathe, drill press, grinder and other metal working tools to make and repair parts* Initiates purchase order of parts and machines. Repairs electronic equipment* Uses sound troubleshooting techniques to determine root cause solutions.* Documents repair actions on a daily basis.* Performs all other tasks as necessary to maintain plant equipment and property.
