Job Responsibilities may include (but are not limited to):
Instruction and assistance in home living environments. Helping individual identify and acquire valued social roles. Facilitating community integration.Helping individual develop healthy social habits.Dispensing medication and monitoring dosages.Transporting and accompanying individual to and from day programs, work sites, and community activities.Supporting individual at vocational sites.
Many Direct Care positions are Contract positions. Independent Contractors receive a 1099 tax form and use a third-party Contract Management vendor for their direct deposits. Additional fees required for Contractors include paying for state-required training, Occupational Accident Insurance, and administrative fees for the Contract Management vendor.
Other Direct Care Positions are Employee Self Direction Specialist positions. Employees receive a W-2 from InReach, state required training is paid by InReach, and Training time or hours is paid time.
All InReach applicants (including family members) must have a high school diploma (or GED), a valid driver's license, and successfully pass a drug screen and background check. One to two years of experience with the special needs population preferred.
