(GreenPower) is a leading manufacturer and distributor of purpose-built, all-electric, zero-emission medium and heavy-duty vehicles serving the cargo and delivery market, shuttle and transit space and school bus sector.Brief DescriptionA General Assembler performs parts and material installation and assembly tasks per written and verbal work instructions.Job Category: Assembly Location: Porterville, CAJob Type: Full Time, Non-ExemptReports to (title): Production Supervisor ResponsibilitiesPerforms installations and assembles parts according to special written work instructions, routings, blueprints and verbal directives.Cleans, assembles, disassembles and replaces parts as required.Maintains a clean and safe working environment and optimizes space utilization.Communicates and cooperates with supervisors and coworkers.Operates and maintains shop equipment.Follows quality service standards and complies with procedures, rules and regulations.Keeps production supervisor advised of work status, workload, problems and progress as related to work assignments.Performs other related duties as assigned. Compensation and Benefits: Compensation for this position will be in the range of $18 TO $20 per hour. Qualified candidates will generally work a 40-hour work week, working four, 10-hour shifts.
