- Assist with general construction tasks including demolition, site cleanup, and material handling.
- Load and unload building materials, tools, and equipment from trucks.
- Operate hand and power tools safely to perform basic construction tasks.
- Support carpenters, electricians, and other tradespeople on-site with various duties.
- Prepare construction sites by clearing debris and ensuring job sites are organized and safe.
- Follow instructions from supervisors to ensure projects are completed on time and within scope.
- Assist with the setup and breakdown of temporary structures, such as scaffolding or barricades.
- Perform routine maintenance on equipment and tools.
- Adhere to all safety regulations and company policies on job sites.
- Communicate any issues or concerns with the site supervisor or project manager.
The ideal candidate should possess:
- Previous experience in construction or related field is preferred but not required.
- Ability to work in various weather conditions and environments.
- Strong work ethic, reliability, and punctuality.
- Ability to lift heavy materials and perform physically demanding tasks.
- Basic knowledge of construction tools and equipment.
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to safety.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
- Tools Requirement: Candidates are expected to provide their own set of basic hand tools necessary to perform job duties efficiently.
Preferred:
- Familiarity with commercial or light industrial construction projects.
- OSHA 10 or 30 certification is a plus.
- Bilingual skills are a plus.
