General Construction Laborer LOOKING TO IMMEDIATLY HIRE (PAY $15.00HR - $25.00HR Based On Experience) Position Summary: An ideal candidate must have previously worked in either residential or commercial construction, renovation, or a related maintenance field. They should possess a basic knowledge of carpentry tools, trade language, and procedures. This candidate will have the opportunity to train under a licensed Florida Building Contractor. Eventually this candidate will take on new roles within our construction company by becoming a licensed contractor themselves. Essential Job Functions: • Perform a variety of relevant repair duties at various job sites as required. • Execute verbal and written orders as directed. • Maintain all tools and equipment. • Demonstrate knowledge of safety rules and PPE. • Implement electrical repairs such as installing fuses, fixtures, and receptacles. • Exhibit basic plumbing knowledge such as how to clear drain lines, and replace broken pipes, gaskets, or faucets. • Carry out carpentry functions such as installing kitchen cabinets, window screens, glass, door locks, and plaster/drywall. • Perform interior and exterior painting, floor tile installation, lawn mowing, leaf raking, tree trimming, debris removal, and other landscaping duties. • Display a general understanding of masonry. • Conduct inventory tracking such as identifying and procuring the materials used in operations. Experience and Qualifications: • A high school diploma or GED is required. • Prior experience in construction or home rehabilitation is preferred, but is not required. • Must have a valid driver's license. • Must be able to reliably report to perpetually changing job sites across Putnam County. • Ability to perform physical labor, and lift at least 80 lbs. • Ability to work in wet, damp, hot, cold, or dusty places. • Ability to stoop or kneel in order to gain access to work areas. • Ability to walk, climb and stand for long periods of time. • Ability to pass all background, drug test, and onboarding requirements.
