Job Overview

With over 500 employees and growing, we have a small and mighty legal department, with strong focus on commercial, product, IP, policy, and regulatory affairs. As we continue along our growth path and corporate life cycle, we need a fiercely talented General Counsel to join our team and lead the day-to-day legal function with the support of our CLO. The General Counsel will work cross functionally and be a strategic problem solver. This role, like the rest of our senior leadership, will be based in our Bay Area headquarters. We are a hybrid workplace, in the office 3 days/week.

About You

With approximately 8+ years of legal experience, you are a talented and hungry business minded lawyer. Academic and real-world experience at the highest levels are both valued, but demonstrated judgment under stress is key. We love creative, scrappy, out-of-the box thinkers that inspire those around them. Be a sharp problem solver with natural-born leadership skills to support our sales, partnerships and corporate development teams. Grace under fire; brilliant crisis management. Basics:

• JD or equivalent legal degree from an accredited law school and license in good standing to practice law in at least one state bar
• 8+ years of relevant law firm or in-house experience; combined best-in-class law firm and in-house counsel experience is preferred
• Crisp and concise communicator
• Experience helping to scale a legal department and hyper-growth startup(s) through IPO a plus
• Experience at tech hardware and software startup(s) is ideal
