Job Description
One of our clients located in Melville is seeking a General Counsel to oversee the compliance and risk management activities and ensure the company's contracts follow policies and legal guidelines. A successful candidate will have comprehensive knowledge and understanding of applicable laws and regulations and the ability to make prudent legal decisions as well as oversee compliance and establish the prudence of defending lawsuits and prosecuting.
Responsibilities:
Providing strategic legal guidance and advising executive staff on various matters such as legal rights, and all current and new business process laws Drafting, reviewing, negotiating, and counselling on a variety of transactions, including software and service agreements Maintaining knowledge of organizations operations and legal documents to identify proactive solutions that will eliminate or mitigate risk Conducting legal research and reviewing the company's litigation strategy pertaining to legal actions Requirements:
A JD and 6+ years of relevant experience in law firms and in-house legal departments Member of the New York Bar Ability to review NDA's Strong general counseling experience in corporate business, litigations, and labor laws High degree of professional ethics and integrity Excellent analytical skills as well as verbal and written communication skills Drive for efficiency in balancing risk management and supporting fast paced growth and innovation #J-18808-Ljbffr
