Responsibilities • Must be comfortable with general dentist procedures- restorative, Crowns, and Bridgework, Removable dentures, anterior and molar endodontic procedures, simple and surgical extractions • Good bedside manner • Ability to work in a team environment • Experience with placing implants is preferred but not required • Teach patients how to use recommended devices for orthodontics and dental appliances, such as dentures and retainers and educate on the importance of good oral hygiene • Examine the patients' teeth thoroughly using diagnostic tools, procedures, and instruments to spot signs of dental diseases and determine the overall state of dental health • Supervise dental assistants, dental hygienists, associate dentists, and administrative staff, and communicate with support staff regarding patient care plans • Implement and coordinate preventive dental care treatments such as flossing, fillings, sealants, x-rays, and fluoride applications, and cosmetic dental services such as whitening when indicated • Seek consultation with dental specialists, such as pediatric dentists, orthodontists, endodontists, or periodontists when appropriate QualificationsEducation/Experience Required: • Experience required • North Carolina Dental License • Unrestricted and current state license in good standing • CPR, BLS, and NPI certifications are required • Possess strong bedside manner, and great communication skills • Board Eligible and/or Board Certified in General Dentistry • Relevant knowledge of dental standards and guidelines, public health standards, and dental medicine trends and advances is an asset
