Description
- Experience painting preferred but not required
- Experience using a grinder preferred but not required
- Experience performing Industrial Projects (Chemical, Pulp & Paper, Heavy Industrial)
- Fire Watch or Industrial Site experience preferred for this position
- Perform piping work and activities as directed by Piping Journeyman
- Execute various minor construction projects as required
- Complete variety of duties which may often change as project completion needs require.
- Willingness and ability to work various shifts and overtime on short notice, to meet businesses' needs, and able to work outdoors in all the elements
- Maintain equipment & clean around workstations
- Interface with supervisor &/or manager to give progress updates as required
- Closely follow instructions from Journeyman or Foreman in a variety of tasks and supporting activity, while working within standards of accuracy, repeat tasks of short duration according to a set procedure.
- Work in tight spaces - physically able to climb up and down safely in proximity of manufacturing and process equipment.
- Adhere to the safety practices required by T E C Industrials and its customers. Elevated work > 4' - fall protection required

- Receive and review Mechanical engineering information packages for proper constructability and completeness.
- Ensure engineering information files and drawing files are maintained.
- Develop material takeoffs and write requisitions.
- OSHA 10 & 30 Training preferred.
- Industrial Construction Estimating skills.
- Material take-off, purchasing and expediting.
- Manage construction labor.
- Subcontractor bid package writing.
- Read and interpret construction specifications.
- Provide input and updates to scheduling.
Education and Experience:
- 1 - 2 years of completed classes in an accredited industrial mechanical or electrical program
- No experience required
Requirements:
- Arrive at work on time, as scheduled, consistently, reliably, & complete each shift
- Follow all safety rules and standards for the company and for the site
- Understand and follow Instructions from the direct supervisor
