Quality Lab Inspector will be responsible for understanding and following manufacturing instructions, blueprints, and material specifications to be able to conduct diagnostic test on materials. Then the results are sent to receiving to accept materials. This position is also responsible for maintaining material identification and traceability on site when updating materials for production. Quality lab inspectors are responsible for the completion of quality testing and inspections in a timely manner. A candidate for this position should be a people person who works well with a team and collaborate with people from other departments as well as working independently.
Primary Responsibilities:
* Conduct qualification analyses of in-process materials, raw materials, environmental samples, finished goods, or stability samples.
* Ability to complete work in a timely manner to meet customer demand.
* Interpret test results, compare them to established specifications, and make recommendations on appropriateness of data for release
* Validate and maintain laboratory equipment
* Ensure that lab cleanliness and safety standards are maintained
* Perform visual inspections of finished products
* Complete documentation, needed to support testing procedures, including data capture forms and equipment logbooks
* Monitor testing procedures to ensure that all tests are performed according to established item specifications, standard test methods, or protocols
* Participate in internal/external assessments and audits as required
* Responsible for insuring updates to documents are communicated through our manufacturing engineering staff
* Complete all documents completely and accurately in the computerized tracking system
* Drive plant performance through safety, quality, delivery, and cost metrics
* Keep work area clean and organized to facilitate process flow improvements
* Participates in continuous improvement initiatives
* Complete other duties as assigned
Minimum Qualifications:
* A minimum education requirement of High School Diploma or GED is required
* Preferred education would be an A.A. degree with technical applications
* Proficiency with using computer inventory and inspection programs
* Have experience using Microsoft applications
* Have experience reading blueprints and specification of inventory
* Performs work in a safe manner and completes all required safety trainings
* Must have the ability to work any shifts and overtime including weekends
Preferred qualifications:
* Experience with Agile
* Experience with SAP or similar ERP software system
* Experienced utilizing quality management system and following appropriate quality standards.
* Exposure to QARI, FAI, and MRB is preferred.
* High standards of communication, quality, and organization.
