Job Summary: The General Laborer is responsible for performing a variety of physical tasks to support operations and maintain the work environment. This role involves manual labor, including moving materials, operating basic machinery, and assisting skilled tradespeople. The General Laborer must be able to follow instructions, work as part of a team, and maintain safety standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform manual labor tasks such as lifting, carrying, and moving materials and equipment.
- Operate basic machinery and tools, following safety protocols.
- Assist in the setup and teardown of work sites.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of work areas.
- Follow instructions from supervisors and assist with tasks as needed.
- Report any equipment malfunctions or safety hazards to supervisors.
- Adhere to safety regulations and company policies.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Previous experience in a labor-intensive role is a plus.
- Ability to lift heavy objects and perform physical tasks.
- Basic knowledge of tools and equipment.
- Good communication skills and ability to work well in a team.
- Strong attention to safety and detail.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50lbs.
- Standing, walking, and bending for extended periods.
- Exposure to varying weather conditions, depending on the job site.
