Job Type Full-timeDescriptionSummary/ObjectiveWheeler Bearing Company, powered by Jenkins Electric, is a Charleston-based manufacturer of precision parts. We are seeking a general laborer who performs a variety of physical tasks to support the operations. Duties and Responsibilities- Handle heavy materials and perform manual and physical tasks as needed including lifting, carrying, and moving materials and equipment.-Prepare work sites by clearing debris and ensuring areas are organized, safe and ready for work.-Provide assistance with tasks such as handling tools and transporting materials.-Cleanup work sites and ensure tools and equipment are properly maintained.- Adhere to safety protocols to ensure a safe work environment and compliance with industry standards This job description is not intended to cover all duties, responsibilities, or activities required of the employee. RequirementsEducation and Experience- High school diploma or equivalent-Previous experience in manual labor or similar roles is preferred but not required- Knowledge of safety protocols and practices in a manufacturing or industrial environment.Physical Requirements- Ability to perform physically demanding tasks- Ability to lift fifty pounds.- Capability to stand for extended periods.- Walking, bending, kneelingAdditional Eligibility Requirements- Coachable and receptive to firsthand training from experienced team members.- Maintain a cheerful outlook and professional, courteous relationships with co-workers.- Consistent attendance record with willingness to work overtime as needed.- Team-player, positive & engaged contributor to the team, willingness to learn & adapt to business needs.Proud of our history.
