With a long history of leadership in the paper industry, Pixelle delivers the most comprehensive portfolio of specialty papers to help you meet today's challenging demands.Job DescriptionPixelle Specialty Solutions, Stevens Point Mill, is accepting applications for production positions (i.e., paper machines, coating preparation, stock preparation, shipping), Rate of pay is $30.16 per hour, plus shift differential. The mill is a 24/7 operation so candidates must be willing and able to work rotating shifts, nights, overtime, weekends and holidays. Candidates need to be capable of moving to the most senior operations positions in the mill.Essential Job Functions Include the Following:Assists Paper Machine Winder Operator and Hot Soft Calender Operator.Cuts and notches cores, installs core plugs.Returns empty spools to paper machine using bridge/overhead crane.Cleans paper machine equipment and rolls using hoses, high pressure washers, sponges, etc.Assists paper machine crew, e.g., slabs paper, puts up splices, cleans rolls and helps tail (thread) the machine after a break.Work in extremely hot areas and around high speed moving equipmentLifts up to 50 pounds regularlyPush and/or pull up to 130 poundsClimb stairs and laddersConsiderable amount of walking, reaching, turning, and twistingRead and use measuring devicesPerform basic math and data entryUsing a computer system to assist with manufacturing process and ability to understand computer reportsComprehend and following written procedures and policiesRegular, predictable attendanceWorking all days of the week (all operations are 24/7)Working shifts (7-3; 3-11; 11-7; sometimes all 3 within the same work week)Working overtime as business needs dictateAdditional essential job functions are applicable to specific jobs.QualificationsMinimum age of 18High school diploma, HSED, or GEDMust possess a valid drivers licensePass selection/testing criteriaMechanical ability Safe from the Start  attitudeOverall positive attitude2 years of work experience preferred (manufacturing experience is a plus)Additional InformationCompetitive 401k match, gainsharing, healthcare benefit package and call-time pay.Annual vacation, birthday holidays, floating holidays.All your information will be kept confidential according to EEO guidelines.#J-18808-Ljbffr
