Please visit our website at .Job ResponsibilitiesThompson Pipe Group is now looking for a General Laborer who will assist with assigned responsibilities such as finishing, patching, building cages, and operating equipment.Essential Job FunctionsUse hand tools such as hammers, sledgehammers, wrenches, and pliers to accomplish daily tasks.Lift and carry materials and tools throughout work areas using appropriate techniques.Maintain neat and orderly work areas.Complete final finish on a poured concrete product using power tools and hand tools.Assist with the installation of plates, rebar, wire, insulation, lifters, and reveals.Patch concrete pipes by blending structural concrete and working with different raw materials.Finish products in an attractive manner free of cracks and imperfections.Remove rough or defective spots from concrete surfaces and patch holes with fresh concrete.Adhere to all company policies and procedures, paying special attention to health and safety.Report any problems or discrepancies to management.Other duties as assigned.Education and ExperienceMust be able to follow instructions both verbally and in writing.Ability to use hand tools.3-6 Months experience in construction, landscaping, or manufacturing precast concrete (preferred).Forklift certifications are a plus.Physical DemandsThe physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job:Ability to lift up to 35 lbs.Standing, walking, and stooping throughout the workday.Able to work with dust and outdoor environmental conditions (i.e., rain, wind).Use of personal protective equipment (PPE) such as earplugs, hard hats, steel-toed boots, gloves, and safety glasses as required.Ability to meet attendance schedule with dependability and consistency.Able to perform strenuous physical labor under adverse field conditions.RequirementsPass a drug test and physical examination.Transition to UNION after 90 days of employment.Work EnvironmentThe work environment is not climate-controlled and is subject to outdoor weather.
