We service clients in SLED (state/local gov't & education), financial services, fortune, public utility, as well as regularly partnering with Big 4 SI partners.Are you a General Ledger and FERC / COA looking for your next project? DTI has an immediate need for General Ledger and FERC / COA for a short-term contract.Must work on our W2 Remote role but may require travel to New York 1-2x's per monthProject scheduled to begin 1/13/2025Work Summary:Supports the GL/COA Lead to complete activities to create the COA usage analysis which is a summary of current state segment usage to inform and define the future state COA structure.Skills and capabilities:
- Experience with Oracle EBS and/or Oracle Could ERP, specifically with Project Accounting and General Ledger integration with respect to accounting rules
- Experience with business process and internal control design
- Knowledge of U.S. GAAP accounting and reporting rules and regulations
- Knowledge of SEC rules and regulations
- Knowledge of FERC accounting rules and regulations
- Knowledge of Sarbanes Oxley and internal control design
- Proficiency in Microsoft tools including Visio, PowerPoint, and Projects
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA) encouraged but not required
Experience with all or any of the following (would want specifics examples): FERC accounting, GAAP to FERC mapping and reconciliation, SEC reporting, wholesale energy trading accounting, retail energy accounting, utility capital asset accountingGiven the role has a duration that extends beyond many or all of the core Client business process staff, the experience is critical as the resource will be the primary day-to-day client interface. Without changing the staffing shape, we would be representing our business process for accounting and tax primarily with a sub.
