SUMMARYThe Maintenance Engineer is responsible for the day-to-day operations throughout the Facility. To operate and maintain all building equipment and systems. The primary responsibility is maintaining a safe, clean and comfortable environment for the facility. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Inspect central plant chillers, boilers and coils for Lowman Building twice a day.
- Replace Filters to all HVAC units both Lowman Building and Clinic Building.
- Assure all work orders are completed on a daily basis.
- Repair electrical outlets and breakers
- Replace light bulbs and ballast throughout Lowman Building and Clinic Building, also outside of the property.
- Replace gases in Urgent Care and Outpatient Surgery Center (Oxygen, Carbon Dioxide, Nitrogen and Nitrous Oxide.
- Replace ceiling and floor tiles
- Replace batteries to all dispenser's paper tower, soap and hand sanitizers.
- Complete repairs of equipment (i.e. sink foot pedals, wheelchairs, medical beds, cast saws and vacuums)
- Complete special projects (i.e. remodeling of departments, framing, drywall and painting
- Complete testing of both generators in central plant, record readings and temperature.
- Complete plumbing repairs clogged toilets/sinks and urinals. Repair drinking faucets, install valves and faucets.
- Complete or oversee the completion of preventative maintenance (monthly).
- Order parts and supplies and maintain inventory.
- Maintain shop appearance to standards to facilitate cleanliness, professional appearance and quick assessment of supply inventory.
- Maintain the building in good repair and free from hazards,
- Perform Fire Drills per the policy and participate in Disaster Drills as directed by the Facilities Manager,
- Maintain the fire alarm system and the emergency generator system in working order.
- Accurately document work performed on daily work sheet including parts.
- Ensure that all outside contractors comply with company policies and procedures
- Assist in keeping grounds neat and free of litter.
- Help departments with various event set-ups.
- Pick up and deliver items or equipment wherever needed.
- Performs duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS
- High school diploma or GED equivalent.
- Four to six (4-6) years of related experience and/or trade school training.
- Valid California Driver's License.
- DMV records acceptable for insurer of Medical Center vehicles.
