Job DetailsLevel Experienced Job Location Powerex - Youngwood, PA Salary Range $58,510.40 - $65,499.20 Salary/year Job Description PRIMARY FUNCTIONS: The general maintenance role involves maintaining, diagnosing, troubleshooting, and repairing the company's facilities and equipment. This position requires proficiency in electrical, HVAC, hydraulic, and plumbing systems, along with other trade skills relevant to the job. TOOLS AND EQUIPMENT: Utilize tools and equipment as necessary, based on the specific requirements of each task. MATERIAL: Materials will vary depending on the assignment's needs. WORKING PROCEDURES:
- Follow both written and verbal instructions from supervisors or other designated professionals to complete tasks efficiently.
- Perform regular maintenance, troubleshoot and diagnose issues, and handle up to 480-volt electrical systems, HVAC, hydraulic, and plumbing tasks within the company's facilities.
- Maintain and repair machinery, mechanical equipment, and buildings.
- Repair or replace defective electrical switches, outlets, and circuit breakers.
- Inspect and diagnose problems, determining the best solutions for resolution.
- Perform routine preventive maintenance to ensure machinery operates smoothly.
- Assemble and set up machinery and equipment.
- Plan and execute repair work using blueprints or diagrams.
- Conduct general cleaning and upkeep of buildings and properties.
- Order necessary supplies from catalogs and storerooms.
- Work closely with subcontractors to estimate repair expenses and oversee projects.
- Perform additional tasks as assigned.
DIRECTION OF OTHERS: Guide and oversee the work of lower-classified personnel or other Powerex associates on tasks requiring assistance. Support setup and production operators in equipment operation, knowledge, procedures, preventive methods, productivity improvements, and safe practices. Provide training and share expertise with newly assigned personnel and current team members. Job Qualifications EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS:
- Minimum of a two-year technical degree or ten years of maintenance and/or commercial maintenance experience (including relevant military experience) or an equivalent combination of education and commercial maintenance experience. This includes experience in plumbing, hydraulics, electrical, pneumatics, or HVAC systems.
EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
- Knowledge of standard practices, materials, tools, and terminology used in building trades.
- Ability to read blueprints and follow procedures accurately.
- Proficiency in operating a variety of tools and power equipment.
- Good physical condition and the ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
- Effective communication skills.
