Candidates must be self-starters who can work independently and as a supportive member of the Maintenance team.AMI offers a generous compensation package including medical, prescription, dental, vision, paid time off (PTO), Paid Holidays, 401k and Profit Sharing, among other benefits!The General Maintenance Worker is responsible for, but not limited to:
- Inspects and identifies equipment or machines in need of repair;
- Troubleshoots issues to determine necessary repairs;
- Plans repair work using building's blueprints or equipment manual as needed;
- Performs general repairs that do not require a specialized technician. Examples may include repairing drywall, painting, and repairing doors and other building fixtures;
- Performs routine maintenance on building systems;
- Cleans and assists with upkeep of the facilities;
- Orders supplies and materials needed for repairs and maintenance;
- Meets daily with Manager to discuss priorities and emergencies at start of shift; and
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
This is a full time, 40 hour per week position with a work schedule of 3pm-11pm Monday-Friday, with flexibility. Travel to AMI offices in a company provided vehicle is a requirement of the position.QualificationsCandidates must have a high school diploma, or equivalent. 1-3 years of related work experience is strongly preferred; appliance repair knowledge is a plus. Candidates must have a valid driver's license, which is in good standing; an MVR is run at the time of offer acceptance. Candidates must have knowledge of general carpentry, repairs, and the ability to use hand tools and power tools.
