Responsibilities:
Maintains a constant awareness of the store's position to competition, volume changes and community programs. Sets store's goals in all areas of operations to achieve the desired volume growth and optimum profits. Sets store's standards and insures they are enforced in operations. Initiates and maintains with assistant managers complete and accurate records on store transactions. Maintains a safe and secure environment for store personnel to work in. Is responsible for training and development of assistant managers. Evaluates the monthly store P&L and with assistants overcomes shortcomings and discrepancies within the store. Sets forth guidelines for recruiting, hiring, training and salary of store personnel. Administers all assistant managers' performance reviews in the presence of the area supervisor, and oversees crew performance reviews. Oversees Planned Maintenance Program in the store. Maintains store at a minimum B level in all areas of operation. Develops self through time planning, self-improvement and the maintaining of healthy physical and mental attitude and appearance at all times. Creates an atmosphere within the store that projects as a friendly, courteous place for crew and customer alike.
