Job Description:

The beautiful Groundswell Cafe + Bakery in Tiverton, RI is growing and looking to add a Cafe General Manager to our team. The position will be a key holder responsible for all day-to-day operations including maintaining all SOP's and going above and beyond to provide exceptional guest service. The Cafe General Manager will monitor and maintain beverage and food inventory and perform administrative duties. Candidates must be team players with great attitudes and 4+ years of management experience. Proficiency in Microsoft Office is required; proficiency with Canva (design) is preferred. Must be an organized, detail-oriented, and passionate hospitality professional with experience in cafes, restaurants, or hotels. This position requires weekends. Responsibilities:
  • Oversee daily operations of the business, including managing staff and resources.
  • Develop and implement strategies to achieve company goals and objectives.
  • Ensure efficient and effective use of resources to maximize productivity and profitability.
  • Monitor and analyze market trends and competition to identify opportunities for growth.
  • Maintain a high level of customer satisfaction by providing excellent service and resolving any issues or complaints.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, such as suppliers, vendors, and customers.
  • Implement policies and procedures to ensure compliance with industry regulations and standards.
  • Manage inventory levels and ensure stock availability to meet customer demand.
  • Utilize strong organizational skills to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively.
Experience:
  • Proven experience in a managerial role in a similar industry.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and inspire a team.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Proficient in math.
  • Demonstrated ability to make sound decisions under pressure.
  • Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficient in using technology for administrative tasks.
