POSITION SUMMARY

The General Manager inspires, trains, and develops Team Members every day. The General Manager is responsible for providing leadership and fostering a diverse, equitable, and inclusive environment while focusing on Daily Restaurant Operations, including Financials, People Development, Guest Satisfaction, and overall Sales.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Provide ongoing leadership and development to all restaurant team members

Understand and follow PPFF's guidelines and standards

Improve sales, and maintain budgets through the P&L

Develop a weekly schedule that ensures all shifts are covered while maintaining the labor budget

Work with Human Resources and Director of Operations to attract, train, and orientate new Team Members

Work with the Director of Operations to reduce turnover

Identify opportunities to improve processes

General Managers also need to:

Possess the highest form of integrity, trust, and reliability

Build a team of top performers by frequent coaching, and developing future leaders by providing clear, consistent direction and feedback

Ensure all team members are properly trained, and partner with the Training Team as needed

Ability to work autonomously

Communicate clearly and effectively

Value each Team Member and foster a work culture of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

Ability to learn quickly, understand and carry out oral and written instructions, request clarification when needed, strong interpersonal skills, ability to work as part of a team, and ability to build relationships.

Other Duties

As a team-focused environment, you may also be asked to assist in other areas of the restaurant as needed.

Able to lift up to 40 lbs.

Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer

Prolonged periods of standing

Working in a fast and high pace environment

Routinely standing, stooping, bending over, twisting, pulling, and pushing

Ability to work remotely as needed

Requires travel. Must have reliable transportation.

QUALIFICATIONS

Must demonstrate the ability to appear for work on time and interact well with Team Members; understand and follow work rules/procedures; comply with company policies, goals, and objectives; and understand and follow company best practices; and exhibit professionalism, initiative, and commitment. In addition, the education, experience, and other skills listed below are representative of the knowledge, skills, and/or abilities required.

EDUCATION/CERTIFICATIONS

High School diploma or equivalent is required

Servsafe Certified

Food Handlers permit

WORK EXPERIENCE

Minimum of two (2) years of relevant experience

KEY SKILLS SET

Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Extremely organized and detail-oriented

Excellent problem-solving and conflict-management abilities

Team-oriented, adaptable, dependable, and strong work ethic

Ability to set priorities, meet deadlines, and follow through on multiple tasks and projects with attention to detail and in a timely manner
