Job Description:

General Manager - Lit Fiber The General Manager (GM) of Lit Fiber Medina will act as the lead executive in the Northeast Ohio Region, representing the Lit Fiber brand. The GM will lead established teams to develop, construct, and provide fiber internet services to residents and businesses in Lit's Northeast Ohio service territory. Lit's This position will work along with the Senior Leadership Team to create the expense and capital operating budget for the Northeast Ohio region. The GM will be responsible for managing the Northeast Ohio Region's profit and loss performance. This is a hands-on position that will require support both in the office and in the field. The GM will interact frequently with local government officials and Lit Corporate personnel regarding all facets of the business. The GM will be responsible for maintaining local company culture and achieving business objectives, as defined by the executive team. Responsibilities: Essential duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to those listed below:

  • Day-to-day operations of the system(s), including financial, technical, government relations, fleet, customer relations, and network deployment
  • Oversee field activities related to construction, providing hands-on assistance when required
  • Provide leadership and direction to local staff, including but not limited to accountability and performance management and identifying developmental needs and solutions
  • Serve as the main point of contact for Lit's Northeast Ohio operations. In this capacity, the GM will be required to hold frequent internal team meetings sharing updates, sales results, etc., as well as briefings with external stakeholders
  • Full regional P&L/ Capital management responsibility, which includes forecast/budget support, expense ownership including routine review and approvals in coordination with the Finance team
  • Establish action plans to meet objectives and review key performance indicator reports and financial statements to determine performance against objectives
  • Work in conjunction with Lit's Senior Leadership Team to establish short- and long-term objectives for the service areas, and the strategic development and tactical execution of the associated business plan
  • Meet and or exceed assigned sales targets
  • Develop and disseminate reports and updates to Lit's Senior Leadership Team on a consistent basis
  • Ensures adherence to accounting procedures at local levels (cash controls, accounts payable, inventory, etc.)
  • Implement, and represent corporate policies and procedures in the Northeast Ohio region
Qualifications
  • 5-10 years of management experience, telecommunications experience preferred
  • Bachelor's degree (B.S.) from a four-year accredited college or university
  • Strong interpersonal, leadership, and supervisory skills
  • Attention to detail and hands-on work style
  • Effective communicator across all levels
  • Proficient in MS Office, Google Workspace, business or general ledger software, and database software as required
