The role of a General Manager is to oversee the day-to-day operations of the production shop floor and ensure that its team is working to the highest standard and has all the resources needed to succeed. The role requires hands-on support and an active approach in planning, problem-solving, team development, and working closely with management for regular updates and performance-based reporting.

General Responsibilities
Creating an inspiring teamwork environment with an open communication culture and a platform for the team to develop professionally.Liaising with management to formulate objectives and targets.Understanding the company needs in terms of customer demand and new process requirements such as the offcut strategy.Assisting with the implementation of an effective and true production schedule.Monitoring and assisting in production to ensure the best outcomes and problem-solving where necessary.Recording and analyzing continuous improvement opportunities.Understanding the level of support required in terms of staff and resources to ensure the most efficient outcomes and communicate this through the facility manager.Supervising and evaluating the performance of production-based personnel to ensure they meet their full obligations to a high-quality standard.Liaising with the facility manager to ensure that our operations adhere to our ISO obligations in terms of traceability, quality documentation, training, and calibration records.Ensuring the working areas are highly organized and clean with designated areas for tools and all equipment.Ensuring that all health and safety regulations are being followed.Providing the team with clear instructions on machine maintenance and managing a third-party support network for any necessary repairs or equipment.Providing quality and regular update reports including measurable performance indicators.Conducting regular meetings with management to discuss strategy, concerns, and growth opportunities.#J-18808-Ljbffr
