Tipsy Putt is California's premier indoor golf pub! We are growing and we are looking for a talented leader in the restaurant/bar industry for our pub on beautiful Bay Street in Emeryville, CA.
Job Summary:The General Manager uses their leadership abilities to create a world-class culture within their pub. They should lead by example, know how to coach, hustle always, and be an expert in having fun whilst getting the job done.
Responsibilities:The General Manager is responsible for all financial and personnel-related administrative duties, ensuring all are completed accurately, on time, and in accordance with company policies and procedures. The following items are not meant to be an all-inclusive list of responsibilities. Each day is different, and responsibilities are ever-shifting.
- On the floor presence interacting with guests and staff.
- Complete P&L accountability and management.
- Nurturing positive working relationships with staff.
- Ensuring proper training for new hires and new policy rollouts to all staff members.
- Delegating daily tasks and supporting front of house staff on the floor during peak periods.
- Addressing any issues in a timely fashion.
- Supervising staff and controlling merchandise.
- Ensuring company policies, procedures, and safety practices are followed.
- Setting a good example for staff.
This position will be required to train for 3 weeks at one of our other Pubs: either Sacramento or Sunnyvale.
Qualifications:
- Degree in business administration or qualifying experience.
- Great interpersonal and communication skills.
- Strong problem-solving abilities.
- Good observation skills.
- An ability to deliver constructive criticism.
- Computer literate and basic Math skills.
- An ability to identify weaknesses and provide coaching where necessary.
Education and Experience:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Degree in business management or related field or equivalent years of experience in restaurant/bar management.
Physical Requirements:
- 100% Walk and stand.
- 90% Communicate with Guests and Team Members.
- 50% Operate cash register, Point of Sale system, and cash handling.
- 25% Reach, bend, stoop, wipe and lift up to 50 pounds.
- 40+ hours per week without consecutive days off.
