Stars and Strikes General Manager - Myrtle Beach, South Carolina

Founded in 2005, Atlanta-based Stars and Strikes Family Entertainment Centers is quickly expanding, with 16 locations throughout the Southeastern United States, and more sites in progress for continued growth. Stars and Strikes Family Entertainment Centers provide a fun and friendly atmosphere for the whole family to enjoy. In addition to state-of-the-art bowling lanes, attractions including arcade games, laser tag, bumper cars, axe throwing, and a bar and restaurant with healthy choices and classic American favorites.

This General Manager position is responsible for supervising the operations of your designated location and management team and have the opportunity to make a true impact on our business. You'll oversee your store while leading your team and driving sales growth for one of the fastest growing Family Entertainment Centers in the country.

What we're looking for:
  • 2 or more years of experience in general management.
  • Experience in a high-volume environment.
  • Experience in Hospitality and/or Food & Beverage is a plus.
  • Must be willing to work a flexible schedule based on the needs of the business, including weekends and holidays.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Works cooperatively and collaboratively within a group.
  • Develops rapport, trust, and open communication that enhances the growth and job performance of direct reports.
  • Adherence to company policies and procedures.
  • Knowledge of the products and services of the company.
  • Ability to stay organized and multi-task in a professional and efficient manner.
  • Gives attention to detail and follows instructions.
  • Establishes goals and works toward achievement.
  • Knowledge of human resource management and the ability to manage personnel relating to hiring, training, development, motivation, retention, and separation.
  • Work with direct reports to develop and implement action plans that will improve operating results.
  • Understanding and accountability for adherence to core standards, HR policies, training, and safety requirements.
  • Evaluate and improve operations and financial performance.
  • Work closely with corporate staff to implement revenue-driving initiatives.
  • Coordinates with direct reports in the recruitment and interviewing of applicants.
  • Confers with direct reports regarding the advancement of store personnel and when considering the discharge or discipline of store personnel.
  • Assures the training, development, and performance of their team's staff to retain a motivated, professional workforce that achieves their career objectives.
  • Plans and conducts regularly scheduled meetings with direct reports.
  • Establishes and communicates job responsibilities and performance expectations to their team to assure mutual understanding of desired results.
  • Daily and weekly travel is required.
