Job Description:

A Huey Magoo's General Manager is the head chicken in the hen house. Consistent in the brand's message that is trained, coached, and upheld in day-to-day operations. The GM is challenged with leading by example and is responsible for the daily operations of the restaurant, managing Huey Magoo's level of brand standards in all areas of operation; ensuring the highest quality products and services are delivered to our guests.

They also play an integral part in introducing the brand to our newest brand partners while always seeking to provide training and development opportunities for team members. A Huey Magoo's GM is proactive, involved, present, organized, energetic, and a great listener. Responsibilities include leading a team, building relationships with guests and co-workers, training and developing team members, controlling food, paper, and labor costs, ensuring safety, managing guest and vendor relations, overseeing restaurant maintenance, and inventory management.

This is a full-time position where the manager supervises shifts and would be opening and closing the restaurant. Our GM is consistent with teaching the proven and current methods that make our restaurants successful and profitable every day. Driving excellence and producing bottom line results to the P&L is second only to being committed to the quality of the employee experience in our restaurant. This top profile, face-forward, and exciting position demands a handcrafted fusion of professional acumen, organization, teaching skills, and creativity. This candidate must have strong verbal and written communication skills and be able to introduce and teach predefined processes. A sense of urgency is critical to success.

Job Summary:
  • Restaurant Managers will be required to have a Servsafe certificate.
  • Identify training opportunities with fellow team members and train them to communicate with customers to ensure a friendly experience.
  • Complete daily food safety checks including FIFO, code dates, health inspections, and actively monitor food handling in the restaurant.
  • Engage in customer/employee safety, ensuring the restaurant is a clean and safe environment.
  • Possess basic cash handling skills.
  • Understand and enforce all applicable child labor laws.
  • Maintain a professional appearance and hold all team members accountable for wearing the correct uniform.
  • Exhibit great communication skills and a positive, encouraging attitude.
  • Be able to work 50-55 hour work weeks.
  • Build a strong, unified team.
  • Be competent in scheduling, ordering, and inventory processes.
  • Uphold the brand's culture, vision, principles, and beliefs.
