Red Hook Tavern is looking to hire a General Manager/Beverage Director who will be an asset to a dynamic and compassionate team. This person will work closely with the Executive Chef as well as manage a strong group of service professionals. Red Hook Tavern brings classic American tavern fare to the waterfront village in Brooklyn. Offering a timeless menu now known for its handmade pastas, spicy mussels and the legendary 45-Day Dry Aged Cheeseburger, alongside its coveted wine list, that guests come from all over the world to enjoy.The General Manager/Beverage Director position demands creativity daily, excellent communication and problem-solving skills, and the ability to maintain the highest level of standards. The General Manager must work well under pressure, and he/she/they must be organized, flexible, self-motivated, and reliable. A strong level of wine, beer, and cocktail knowledge is necessary to succeed in this role, as well as a willingness and openness to learn and grow.
