Job Description:
Gotham Gym is a high-profile gym seeking a General Manager who will oversee the day-to-day operations of the gym and its staff. The manager will work closely with personal trainers, staff, and guests to ensure everyone has the equipment they need, and the guests are satisfied with their gym experience. The primary responsibilities of a gym manager include managing classes and trainers, selling and retaining memberships, and ensuring all equipment meets safety standards as well as day-to-day operations.Qualifications
  • 2+ years management experience in the fitness industry is a must.
  • People management/development experience.
  • Must possess excellent written and verbal communication skills, and organizational skills with a high attention to detail.
  • Must be skilled with modern technology, computers, social media platforms, and Apps
Responsibilities
  • The Manager is responsible for providing overall direction, coordination and evaluation of gym operations including the front desk and housekeeping operations with an emphasis on unbelievable customer service and overall gym administration.
  • This is a leadership role, therefore the Manager is expected to have a vision and strategy for the Gotham Gyms overall goals.
  • Properly manage and maintain gym operational budget and trainers schedules, selling and retaining memberships.
  • Maintaining customer service standards- dealing with enquiries, complaints and emergencies.
  • Overseeing the safety and cleanliness of the facilities.
  • Ensure that all maintenance issues are reported, coordinate the repair or replacement of defective equipment.
  • Ensuring that all staff are adequately trained and can fully execute their own duties as well as work as a team, while maintaining a safe work environment.
  • Responsible for the monthly Inventory process to be completed accurately and on time.
  • Work with staff to generate new business and prospect traffic.
  • Develop and present monthly membership goals, levels of participation, and their corresponding financial impact.
