We are looking for a General Manager (GM) who is people-centric and wants to be a part of a growing brand. As a GM you will:
- Build a great restaurant culture
- Embed P TERRY'S in the community it serves through strong crew member and guest relationships and Local Restaurant Marketing.
- Build strong teams by networking, sourcing, interviewing, and hiring Managers and Crew Members
- Consistently train and develop Crew Members and Managers
- Verify training standards are being maintained
- Direct the Management Team, including setting weekly Management schedules and assigning areas of responsibility to the Managers of the restaurant
- Be responsible for the successful and profitable operations of a restaurant
- Support the Management Team in developing and leading initiatives that build sales, profitability, and store performance
- Plan, prepare, and oversee weekly, monthly, and yearly inventories and budgets
- Manage weekly and monthly P&L
- Ensure all cash handling policies and procedures are being followed
- Oversee the cleanliness of the restaurant and preventative maintenance of the equipment and building
- Understand, manage, and practice safe food handling procedures
- Act as primary liaison with all restaurant vendors and HQ contacts
- Attend weekly and quarterly meetings
Education and Experience
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- 3 to 5 years as an assistant and/or general manager in a restaurant, including full service and/or quick service, required.
- Drive-thru experience is a plus.
- Must be 18 years of age.
- Must have reliable transportation, a valid driver's license and proof of insurance.
- Food Handlers Certification, ServeSafe, or equivalent.
Knowledge and Skills
- Bi-lingual in Spanish and English a plus (speaking and listening)
- Respond promptly and professionally to email and phone calls.
- Excellent Time Management Skills
- Strong written and verbal communication are a must, including the ability to interface with others, regardless of title or position, in a positive, approachable, and professional manner.
- Excellent Leadership skills and ability to foster teamwork, inspire confidence and develop trust.
- Excellent interpersonal, organizational, and critical thinking/problem solving skills. This position must be able to understand overall business strategy and bring solutions that advance the greater interests of the stand, while simultaneously supporting company needs.
- Proven ability to make judgment calls, especially as they relate to understanding P. Terry's cultures, mission and operating principles.
- Knowledge of various employment laws, best management practices, and interviewing skills.
- Ability in operating a PC (desktop and/or laptop), which may include the following peripherals: webcam, mouse, keyboard, printer, scanner, monitor(s), and external drive.
- Ability in Microsoft Office Suite (e.g., Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and Publisher. Ability to learn other functional software, which may include Paylocity, CareerPlug, and Adobe Fill and Sign.
