Responsible for all US Government contracts, directs, and controls all operations associated with the VA repair facility.Job summary:- Manage and monitor all activities associated with the Chesapeake Service facility- Manage all aspects of government contracts- Develop and maintains customer relations - Become completely fluent in SAP B1 for all purchasing, inventory, and operations management purposes- Monitor and review processes and policies and assist VP Service in improving these in support of organizational goals- Provide recommendations to management for changes to policies and procedures that will improve efficiency and effectiveness of SAP B1 transactions- Ensure work orders / daily production deadlines are being met- Review, complete, vendor reps and certs- Coordinate corrective action for quality problems - both internally and externally- Oversee facility budgets / costs - Define, develop, and recommend performance objectives in each area of cognizance - Work with the VP-Service to develop specific short-term and long-term plans and programsRequired:- Knowledge of valves and actuation devices and their operation on commercial and US Navy ships- Knowledge of client groups and/or issues related to the maritime valve industry. - Possess proven analytical/problem solving solutions for the customer and the company. - Internal and external team building skills are essentialEducation required: Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.Experience required: Minimum 8 years of ship repair management experience. Strong knowledge of US Government contracting. Management experience of the Commercial Maritime and US Naval industries. Monday - Friday 730am - 330pmCompany pays 60% of health care. Bonus potential $4-6K per quarter.
